May 23, 2008 2008 Who will make it to Hawaii? Utah State Girls Championships (Match-ups)
State Cup championship matches will be played Saturday May 24, 2008 at Lakeside Sports Complex in Orem. U12-U18 winners of the Utah State Cup will qualify to represent Utah at the Far West Regional Championships hosted by Hawaii June 16-22.
Matches have been set, and there may already be some predictions. There has been Cinderella stories told and are currently being written. Opinions of who is the best have been made and may stand regardless of who the actual winners may be. Throw all that out! The State Cup is always a different setting that brings surprises and excitement to all who attend, play, and coach in the matches. Those reasons alone are why we play the games. National Championship Series Fact Sheet
OVERVIEW:
Each summer US Youth Soccer crowns a boys and girls national champion in each of its six age divisions (Under 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19). The finals are a culmination of a year-long series of competitions at the state and regional levels. The US Youth Soccer National Championship Series provides approximately 129,000 players on 7,200 teams from US Youth Soccer's 55 State Associations the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation, while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.
