UYSA Real Salt Lake U17 Tryouts
Players trying out will receive a ticket for the May 16th Real Salt Lake game against the Wizards

In partnership with Utah Youth Soccer, Real Salt Lake will be conducting tryouts for the developmental RSL U17 team April 19 & 26. The purpose of the developmental team is for the Real Salt Lake coaching staff to establish early identification of up and coming players in our youth systems that demonstrate the potential of one day playing for the Real Salt Lake 1st team. The RSL U17 team is a complimentary program to your current club and/or ODP teams.

Last year our RSL U17 team won the prestigious SUM Cup tournament. The SUM Cup tournament brings together the top U17 teams from each of the MLS clubs. By winning this tournament, our RSL U17 team will be representing Real Salt Lake and MLS at the JRS World Cup Comunidad de Madrid in Spain May 27 - June 12.

This year's program will be led by RSL 1st Team Assistant Coach and Technical Director of Youth Development Brian Johnson and RSL U17 Head Coach and Utah Youth Soccer Technical Director Greg Maas and his staff.

Tryouts will be held this year at:

Mt. Jordan MS
9360 South 300 East
Sandy, UT 84070

Open tryouts will be Sunday, April 19 from 3:00-6:00 PM, and a final invitation only tryout to follow on Sunday, April 26 from 3:00-6:00 PM. Tryouts for this year's team will consist of players born August 1991 through July 31, 1994 (U15-U17 age groups).

Registration cost for the RSL Utah U17 team tryout is $40.00. The tryout fee includes a numbered Real Salt Lake tryout T-shirt and a ticket voucher for a Real Salt Lake's MLS regular season contest at Rio Tinto Stadium against Wizards on May 16.

Players must pre-register for the tryouts by Thursday, April 16 and must complete the following:

1) A completed registration form
2) A completed release and liability form
3) Provide a copy of the player's birth certificate
4) The $40.00 registration fee

Registration forms are located at www.realsaltlake.com under 'Youth Soccer' and then RSL Utah.

Once all items are completed, please return them to the RSL offices, c/o Teresa Nelson, either in person or via US mail at: 9256 South State, Sandy, UT 84070.

Note: The Utah High School Activities Association has ruled that you may practice or tryout with another team (ODP, RSL, Competition etc.) during your high school season as long as you get verbal permission from your current high school coach.
