In a monumental decision, the Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) Board of Directors voted unanimously to lower the $11 recreational registration fee two dollars to an unprecedented $9 dollar per player. The new registration fee will go into effect immediately.

One of the few criticisms that the association has faced is the cost of recreational registration fees. "With the Board of Director decision last week, I am confident that UYSA can now proclaim that it clearly has the best product for your buck." -Andrew R. Hiatt UYSA Interim Executive Director

The decision to lower the fee stems greatly from the recent cut in operating costs, namely the decrease in the cost of player medical insurance and the recent addition to online registration which has cut the cost of paper and supplies. Another reason derives from the recent economical slowdown. "UYSA is aware that many of our members and prospective members are facing difficult financial situations and we are doing our best to assure that our product is not only quality but affordable." -Andrew R.
