State Technical Director Greg Maas and Technical Department Coordinator Colette Albretsen offer a very special 'thank you' to all of the parents, players, coaches, administrators, and volunteers, for their help during this year's ODP tryouts. "I truly appreciate everyone's assistance throughout the entire registration and tryout process - I honestly couldn't have done it without you," stated Albretsen.

Utah ODP established record growth for the 7th straight year; and with the addition of younger age groups this year, ODP proceeded to shatter last year's record with nearly 1,600 exceptional players attending tryouts. "The interest and passion shared by everyone around the state for ODP is absolutely fantastic - which speaks volumes about the quality of our program and the tremendous people we have involved," Maas said.

All registered players who attended ODP tryouts this year will receive, via e-mail (based on the e-mail provided at registration), notification of this year's state team pool selections. In addition, identified and selected players will receive an e-mail that will contain detailed information on accepting their position in the player pool and further ODP instructions on upcoming events. If you are a registered ODP player and reside in the Southern Utah area, you will automatically be added to the Southern Utah ODP Pool. For more information on upcoming Southern Utah ODP clinics and events in the Southern Utah area, please contact Coach Danny Ortiz at coachdortiz@yahoo.com.

Player selections were determined by individual technical, tactical, physical, and psychological abilities demonstrated throughout the tryout process. Final selections for this year's state team pools were exceptionally difficult due to the sheer depth of talented players in each age group. "I would like to congratulate and thank each individual player who attended tryouts, and I am confident that every player found the process to be both challenging and rewarding," Maas noted. Maas also praised the efforts of his dedicated coaching staff for their thoroughness and commitment to excellence in selecting this year's state team pools.
