State Technical Director Greg Maas announced open registration to participate in the first-ever organized Utah coaches tour to Germany October 30th - November 9th 2008. Along with good friend Manni Klar of Success in Soccer, Coach Maas has helped to develop an international coaching tour that will allow coaches to fully immerse themselves in an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime, coaching education and cultural soccer experience.

This unique tour will provide you with some insight into Germany's youth development systems at both the amateur and professional levels. You will be given the opportunity to interact with the coaches and to experience some hands-on work as you will be able to participate in a couple of training sessions. Furthermore you will have the opportunity to watch several professional matches from various clubs, as well as, their training sessions. In addition US Soccer has recognized the tour and will award coaches holding an USSF "A" License 4 CEU's.

During your visit, Klaus Pabst, Director of Player Development for FC Köln and his experienced staff coaches, will give you an inside look into their daily work with their youth and professional players. Klaus Pabst and his staff coaches will demonstrate, with the support of classroom presentations and training sessions on the field, the importance of age appropriate training for youth to advanced-level professional players.
