LaRoca Girls Win Pikes Peak Tournament!

The LaRoca Girls U-14 Premier team coached by Tim Crompton and Jim Gochis won the Pikes Peak Invitational Tournament held July 16-20 in Colorado Springs, CO. The team scored 23 goals on their way to the title and gave up only four. They tied Colorado Rush and beat the Comets, KC Heat, and WAFC Samba in pool play, then beat Corinthians Gold United 2-0 in the semi-final and Wayzata Wapeka 3-2 Championship match.

After losing the first game of the tournament 3-1 the boys went on a roll winning the next 3 games in pool play scoring 10 goals and giving up 0 to get to the title game. In the title game they would meet up again with the team they lost to the very first day, but this time the outcome was different. Arsenal won the game 2-0 with the game really never in doubt, and finishing up the tournament by scoring 13 and giving up 3.
